À la mémoire de

Leslie Webster

- 2025

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Leslie Webster at the CHUS-Fleurimont, on January 21, 2025, at the age of 82 years, from Stanstead. Loving husband of 55 years to the late Janie Gilbert. Son of the late Howard Webster and the late Pearl May Royer. Leslie was predeceased by his sister Olive and Beatrice Webster.

He leaves to mourn his Aunt Irene Royer; his cousin Micheal (Kathy); his nephews Eugene Gary (Jackie); his niece: Suzanne, her daughter Ashley (Rory); his niece Brenda (Billy), their son Jamy (Amanda). He will sadly be missed by his dear friends: Rachel (Gilles), David (Mary), Chris (Caitlyn), Randy (Pat), Andy, Lawrence, Gordie (Tammy), Elliott (kim), Caroline, as well as the entire family from Cass Funeral Homes. He also leaves numerous other relatives and many, many dear friends.

Leslie loved to travel, but mostly to spend time with friends making jokes and telling stories. Leslie spent many years devoted to the clients of Cass Funeral Home, caring and supporting families through very difficult times. Leslie had a true and lifelong passion for the Ayer’s Cliff Fair, he and Janie made it their mission to organize and make this fair the very best it could be. Even though his health was failing, he insisted on attending every year. In the 2024 edition of the fair, Leslie was very honored to receive recognition by the public for his many years of dedication.

A special thanks to Chris and Caitlyn, Rachel and Gilles, David and Mary, Caroline, his social workers for being there with Leslie over the last hard months and many others who came to his aid as well.

Visitation will take place at the Cass Funeral Home, 545, Dufferin, Stanstead, QC, J0B 3E0, on Saturday, February 8th, 2025, from 10 am to 12 noon. A funeral service will follow at 12 noon at the Christ Church in Stanstead.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Sherbrooke Animal Protection Society, 145 Sauvé Street, Sherbrooke, QC, J1L 1L6, or to the Christ Church of Stanstead, 550 Rue Dufferin, Stanstead, QC J0B 3E0, would be appreciated.
