Passed away peacefully at the Hôtel-Dieu Hospital, on August 20, 2023 at the age of 76.
He was predeceased by his brother Adrian and long ago by his father Rudolph Gougeon, a WWII Veteran and his mother Gwendolyn Jones, Warbride and registered nurse who cared for wounded soldiers and airmen in England during WWII.
Michael leaves behind his brother Tony (Betty) and his twin sister Marilyn (Sheldon), many nieces and nephews and his dear friend Larry.
Mike enjoyed spending time with his extended family, especially the little ones who often sent him their masterworks and pictures which he proudly displayed on his walls and fridge. He will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul.
A big thank you to the staff at the Hôtel-Dieu for looking after Mike in his final days.
The family will hold a private farewell to Mike at a later date.
