Edgar passed away on May 4th, 2024, at the age of 87, son of the late Clayton Smith and the late Winnie Wade.
Edgar leaves to mourn his wife Meta Smith. He was the brother of the late Stewart (Dorothy), late Theodore (late Shirley), William, Albert, late Roland, Gordon (Jeannine), Iva, late Jerry, Shirley Ann. He was the brother-in-law of the late Ruby (Mike), Russell (Chantal) and Cecil. He also leaves many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 18th, 2024, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Cass Funeral Home, 900 Clough Street in Ayer’s Cliff.
Edgar was always happy to lend a helping hand to anyone, as a tribute to his memory, let’s carry on the tradition in his honour.

I don’t remember him as young person, but I sincerely enjoyed my hours and moments with him while working. His smile, demeanour with me was amazing even in his difficult moments of trying to retain clarity we were able to exchange his smile and always his thank you. I truly will miss his smile and chats even when was simple about things i didn’t know but he wanted to share. I even got the occasional hug. But the thank you and smile was what i will miss the most. I know my dad and uncle knew him better than me but i was a true pleasure to have him greet me in the hallway with his smile. my sincerest condolences in your loss

Our thoughts are with you. We have so many fond memories of spending time with you and Edgar at the farm, riding and picking raspberries, eating homemade pies.
