C'est avec tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Michel Joseph Bertrand Pierre Laramée le 4 mars 2024 à l'âge de 75 ans à Sherbrooke, Québec.
Né le 12 août 1948, Michel était le fils bien-aimé de Rita Turgeon et Emile « Jim » Laramée. Employé fidèle de Carnation (Nestlé) pendant plus de quatre décennies, Michel était également un membre actif du service des pompiers volontaires de Lennoxville.
Michel a épousé Brenda McHarg en 1974 et ensemble ils ont partagé 49 merveilleuses années de mariage. Michel était un père aimant pour Joey (Rachel Hunting), Eric (Fallon Kennedy), et Nathalie (Danny Gagnon), et un grand-père chéri pour Lydia, Jayden, Joel, et Jace.
Michel avait une passion pour les sports de plein air, en particulier la pêche et la chasse. Il était connu pour sa gentillesse, sa nature indulgente et sa générosité. N'hésitant jamais à donner un coup de main, l'esprit de compassion de Michel a laissé un impact durable sur tous ceux qui l'ont connu.
Par-dessus tout, Michel était très fier de sa famille ; il appréciait les vacances en famille, les séjours en camping et le temps passé ensemble autour du feu de camp. Ces moments lui apportaient une grande joie et témoignaient de son dévouement et de son amour pour sa famille.
Michel laisse dans le deuil ses sœurs Diane (Harold Gilchrist) et Sylvie (feu Claude Larochelle), ainsi que son frère Jacques. Michel a été précédé dans la mort par ses parents Rita et Emile et son beau-frère Claude Larochelle.
Un service familial privé aura lieu le 2 juillet au cimetière de Malvern. Michel manquera beaucoup à tous ceux qui l'ont connu, mais son héritage vivra dans le cœur de sa famille et de ses amis.
