Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 18, 2025, at the CHUS Hôtel-Dieu, Sherbrooke, in his 77th year.
Beloved husband of Leasha Smith; father of Lacey (Ian) and Corey; and grandfather to Ivy, Hazel, and Jasper. He leaves to mourn his sister Sandra (Vaughn), many nieces, nephews and other family members.
Interment at a later date.
Special thanks to the Résidences Le Château du Bel Âge in Windsor.

Paisiblement au CHUS Hôtel-Dieu, entouré de sa famille, est décédé le 18 janvier 2025, monsieur Richard Stone dans sa 77e année.
Époux bien-aimé de Leasha Smith et père de Lacey (Ian) et Corey et grand-père d'Ivy, Hazel et Jasper.
Il laisse dans le deuil sa sœur Sandra (Vaughn), plusieurs neveux et nièces ainsi que d'autres membres de la famille.
L’inhumation aura lieu à une date ultérieure.
La famille remercie chaleureusement le personnel aux Résidences Le Château du Bel Âge à Windsor pour leur gentillesse et dévouement.

I was so sorry to read about Richard. He was a wonderful chef and a very good friend. My deepest sympathy to all of you for your loss.

Richard was our chef for Meals On Wheels in North Hatley for a number of years. His meals were excellent and the kitchen in order under his capable supervision. He was very much missed when he had to leave due to illness.

My heart goes out to Leasha, Lacey, Corey and grand children. Richard was one of a kind, and always did everything he could for his community.
